Lawnet Managing Partner of the Year 2009
Bettina Brueggemann, Managing Partner of Hart Brown solicitors, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Managing Partner of the year’ by LawNet.
Presenting this award John Thomas, Chief Executive of LawNet, said: ”The calibre of entries across all of the categories was excellent and there was stiff competition for this award, but Bettina’s entry stood out. The judges felt that all law firms have traded through difficult conditions this year, which meant it has been even more challenging than normal for the LawNet Managing Partners.”
Entrants to this category were asked to demonstrate that the firm’s Managing Partner has been outstanding during the last year in displaying strong leadership, management skills and strategic vision. Judges were looking for evidence of how the firm has improved its performance for its employees, clients and other stakeholders, and how the entrant has contributed to that success.
Bettina Brueggemann, this year’s winning entry, unquestionably highlighted how her clear thinking and strategic vision has contributed to the on-going success of Hart Brown. A hands-on, personal approach to strategic management coupled with a commitment to transparency, openness and creative solutions to difficult decisions have resulted in a firm with a strong sense of direction, working together to achieve common goals.
Bettina is delighted to be receiving this award on behalf of all of the staff of Hart Brown. She said, “Without the support and dedication of all of our staff, this year would have been even harder. We have worked together in overcoming many of the issues the current economic climate has introduced with a shared vision of the future.”
Stuart Spencer, Senior Partner of Hart Brown commented, “On behalf of all of the staff we want to endorse the above comments made by the judges. By introducing efficient cost savings and by consulting with all of the employees we have managed to avoid making any redundancies, keeping our well structured and efficient teams together. Our aim has been to continue to deliver the consistent high level of service our clients expect and we are delighted that a recent client survey has confirmed this.”
