Debentures
Debentures are a form of security granted in return for lending money:
- over the assets of a company or similar incorporated entity
- by the lender
This means if the loan is not repaid or the terms of the loan are not complied with the lender can use or sell the assets of the company to pay off the loan.
At Hart Brown our specialists can help you draft a debenture if you are lending money or explain the terms of a debenture if you are borrowing. Banks will normally require you to have the document formally explained to you.
To speak to someone who can advise on debentures or any other legal matters relating to your business call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
