Individual Voluntary Arrangement
If you are an individual and unable to pay your debts an alternative to bankruptcy may be an Individual Voluntary Arrangement or IVA.
Together with an insolvency practitioner you will:
- draw up proposals for repaying your creditors
- prepare a statement of affairs
- apply to court for an order to stop proceedings being taken against you
- arrange for creditors to consider your proposals
If a set percentage of the creditors agree to your proposals you and they will be bound by them.
At Hart Brown our specialists will discuss with you your options. We will help you find the best solution for you.
To speak to someone who can advise on individual voluntary arrangements or any other legal matters relating to your business call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
