Sexual Orientation and Gender Reassignment

An employer can discriminate on the grounds of sexual orientation or gender reassignment in many ways including:

  • banter or ill advised jokes by members of staff  which result in an offensive, humiliating, intimidating or degrading atmosphere
  • failure to recruit
  • failure to promote
  • failure to train
  • failure to pay equally

At Hart Brown we have advised many employers on matters including:

  • training of staff
  • procedures and policies to prevent discrimination
  • defending claims brought including on the grounds of genuine occupational requirement
  • settling claims

The amount of compensation that can be awarded is unlimited.

To speak to someone who can help with a sexual orientation and gender reassignment discrimination  problem or any other employment issue call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
