Pre-nuptial and Post-nuptial Agreements

Pre-nuptial agreements are not the first thing you will want to think about if you are planning a wedding. You should however be considering a pre-nuptial agreement if you have assets that you want to protect if your relationship were to break down. A pre-nuptial agreement records what will happen if the relationship ends.

Many people believe pre-nuptial agreements are just for the wealthy and famous, but you may want to consider protecting your assets if you have a business, have inherited a substantial amount of money or own a property before you get married.

If you did not have time to deal with a pre-nuptial agreement before your wedding it is possible to enter into a post-nuptial agreement. Our solicitors can advise you on your options should you wish to protect your assets when you get married.
