Licences to Assign
Most leases give the tenant the right to sell their lease. When you sell your lease you are said to be assigning your lease.
Sometimes doing so is conditional on the consent of the landlord which he cannot unreasonably withhold.
The landlord will want to be sure that the new lessee is able to pay the rent or he may require someone to act as a guarantor before agreeing to the assignment.
All leases are different. At Hart Brown our specialists will look at the requirements of the lease and explain to you want is needed before you can sell your lease.
To speak to someone who can help with a licence to assign call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
