Transfers on Death
When an owner of a property dies their interest in the property will be dealt with in one of two ways:
- it will pass according to their will or under the intestacy rules
- if it is held as joint tenants to the survivor
Before the property can be sold clear proof will be needed that the person selling has the right to sell.
At Hart Brown we have specialist lawyers who can help obtain probate and deal with any land registry applications so that title to the property is correct. At a time when you are feeling upset and worried we can deal with all the formalities for you and give you the breathing space you will need.
To speak to someone who can help with a property transfer on death call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
