Acquiring the Freehold

Where there are a number of tenants looking to extend their leases it may be more cost effective to purchase the freehold collectively rather than individual residents extending their own leases in isolation.

Owning the freehold gives the tenants greater control over such things as service charges and general management issues.

There are qualifying conditions which leaseholders must meet in order to be eligible for collective enfranchisement.
