Neighbour Disputes
It is particularly upsetting becoming involved in a neighbour dispute and sadly there is considerable scope for neighbours to fall out.
We frequently advise on issues including:
- rights of access and rights of way
- trespass and nuisance
- parking
- repairs and maintenance, trees and fences
- party wall disputes and boundaries
Some of the potential disputes can involve complicated areas of law and are likely to involve viewing the situation on the ground and reviewing all title deeds and other documents going back many years
It is important to be certain what the rights of the property are when you buy it, but if you do find yourself in a dispute with your neighbour it is important that you seek advice from someone experienced in dealing with these cases before the dispute gets out of hand.
We believe that our role is to help identify, on the basis of the available evidence, what the position is in respect of the dispute and then encourage communications between the neighbours to help find a cost effective solution. This will avoid the delay, inconvenience and expense of perhaps an emotionally draining court case.
To speak to someone who can help with a boundary or trespass dispute claim call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
