Termination of Employment

Most employment contracts end at some point – often because the employee decides to move on to further their own career.  Many end in an amicable way but not always.

Sometimes employment contracts end because:

  • the employer dismisses the employee
  • the employee is unhappy about the way in which they have been treated by the employer and resigns as a result

If you feel that you have been treated unfairly or wrongly by your employer or that the termination of your employment is unlawful you may have a claim against your employer for unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal or even, discrimination. If you feel unhappy about any aspect of your employment it is important to seek advice as soon as possible so that you take the correct steps both before and after resigning.

At Hart Brown we have advised many employees about their options and the merits of bringing a claim. We understand the emotional concerns and commercial realities for an employee who finds themselves at odds with their employer. We can assist by giving practical advice and assistance to ensure that the best outcome is achieved or the most compensation received.

To speak to someone who can advise about termination of employment or any other employment related issue call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
