Enforcement of Existing Orders
A court order has been made, it covers what you should be paid but you have not received what you are entitled to. What should you do?
Enforcement of a court order will depend on:
- the nature of the order being ignored
- the financial position of the non-complying party
Your knowledge of the other party’s assets will be important when deciding on how best to enforce payment.
In cases of arrears of maintenance an attachment of earning can be applied for if they are employed.
At Hart Brown our family lawyers will advise you on all methods of enforcement and will discuss with you the most suitable one.
To speak to someone who can help with the enforcement of an existing order, call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
