What assets can be placed in trust?

Most assets can be placed in a trust, including:

  • houses, flats and land
  • shares and unit trusts
  • gilts and corporate bonds
  • life policies
  • some National Savings investments
  • cash
  • personal chattels (for example works of art)

It is important to consider all of the legal, practical and tax implications before creating a trust. At Hart Brown our unusual blend of specialist lawyers and independent financial advisers enables us to advise not only on the legal, practical and tax implications of creating a trust, but also on which assets to put in trust and on investment strategies for the trust for the future.

To speak to someone who can advise on a trust call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist lawyers.
