Shaun specialises in inheritance tax, trusts, wills, administration of trusts and estates, lasting powers of attorney and mental capacity issues.
He is a member of the Law Society’s Probate Section. He is also a member of the Drapers Company, giving him the freedom of the City of London, and the MCC. Shaun has been a trustee of a number of charities and is currently a trustee of Llandovery College.

Shaun’s most memorable case was when speaking to a client about the prospects of her making an enduring power of attorney he was quite happy about the level of her capacity to be able to make a power until she jumped up, patted him on the head and called him “chicken”.
Shaun originally studied history of art and architecture at Reading University becoming an art dealer for several years. He joined Hart Brown as a trainee in 1995 becoming a partner in 2003, since when he has headed up the Godalming office.
