Settlement Agreements

Employment Settlement Agreements

Unfortunately not all employment relationships work out and sometimes you need to part company with the employee. Employment settlement agreements are frequently used in redundancy situations; however, they can be used to confirm the terms of settlement in any employment dispute.

We are experts in negotiating, drafting and advising on settlement agreements for a wide range of businesses and for employees up to senior executive and company director level.

If an employee is leaving as a result of a restructuring of your business, we will work closely with our Commercial & Corporate team who can provide specialist advice on the restructure.

Having taken the time to understand what you want to achieve, we will provide clear, commercial advice on the terms and effect of any package being considered including whether it represents a reasonable settlement. If appropriate we will include post termination restrictions on the employee to protect the future of your business. We will ensure that the employee is not able to come back with a court or tribunal claim at a later date.

To speak to an employment law expert who can help with settlement agreements or any other employment law issue please call, email or request a call back from one of our specialist employment lawyers.
