We have an opportunity within our busy dispute resolution team for a litigation fee earner who will be responsible for a varied caseload and will represent clients both claimants and defendants in:
- all types of property including boundary disputes
- both residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes
- possession proceedings Leasehold disputes
- party wall disputes
- construction disputes
- general commercial litigation in particular with a property aspect
- dilapidation claims
- TOLATA claims
- professional negligence claims in particular with a property dimension
You will have a sound knowledge of litigation processes and be a team player able to work within a small dedicated team. You will also be required to provide advice to our busy residential and commercial property departments
Excellent client care and interpersonal skills are essential as well as a keen commercial sense and an interest in business development.
Legal Secretary:
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Private Client department in Cobham. This is a small team with a very busy workload and requires someone to offer excellent secretarial and administrative support with a hands-on approach. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a friendly and busy team with an excellent local reputation.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing full secretarial support including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation.
- Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files.
- Assistance with receptionist duties which will include meeting and greeting clients, taking calls through the switchboard and directing accordingly, and arranging meeting room bookings.
Requirements:
- Experience of working as a Legal Secretary within a private client practice area
- Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Audio transcription skills
- Fast, accurate typing ability
- Experience of using case management is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Very well organised
- Friendly and professional attitude
- IT literate – Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook/ Digital Audio software
