In April 2025, Louise took up the role of Chair of the the firm.

Louise is also the Cranleigh office Partner and Head of the Trusts & Estates team at Hart Brown. Louise has extensive experience in a broad range of Private Client work.

Louise helps clients with all aspects of Private Client work and deals with the formation and administration of trusts, lifetime and post death planning and will drafting. She also works with other professional advisors to provide a complete package of advice.

Louise has considerable experience of applications for probate and estate administration often including complex issues and overseas assets. Additionally, she can help clients with Court of Protection matters including lasting powers of attorney and court applications for gifts.

Jordan is a Partner with more than 8 years' post-qualified experience, specialising in Wills, lasting powers of attorney and the administration of trusts and estates. He is based in the Trusts & Estates department in Guildford and Woking.

Jordan studied law at the University of Southampton, graduating in 2013. Whilst completing his LPC on a part time basis, Jordan worked in the firm’s quality and compliance department as the firm’s Chief Internal Auditor, before commencing his training as a Solicitor in 2016.

Margaret is a Senior Associate and specialises in wills, the establishment and administration of trusts, probate, tax planning and powers of attorney.

Margaret joined Hart Brown in 2018, bringing with her a wealth of experience to the Trusts & Estates department in Cobham. She has worked as a Private Client lawyer in Surrey for over 30 years, and is also a member of STEP and the Law Society Private Client Section.

Susanna is a Senior Associate in our Trusts & Estates department in Cranleigh. Susanna had a previous career in Marketing and Business Development before pursuing her route to Law.

She was a College of Law (now University of Law) prize winner and qualified as a Solicitor in 2006.

Highly-experienced in a range of Private Client work, Susanna specialises in Wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate, administration of estates and Inheritance Tax planning.

Her estate administration work is wide and varied from simple estates to those of far greater complexity with foreign assets, business interests and gifts to charity. Aware that this work involves assisting clients at such a difficult and challenging time in their lives, Susanna provides practical and clear advice in a sensitive and empathetic manner, helping her clients to navigate through the complexities of the administration process as easily as possible.

Sunil is a Senior Associate within the Trusts & Estates team. He is based at the Cranleigh office. Since Sunil qualified as a solicitor, he has worked in firms with offices in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Surrey.

After graduating from Sussex University with a degree in Law with French, he decided to travel abroad for a year or so. Nineteen years later, after having set up an English language school/consultancy a stone’s throw from the Amalfi Coast, he returned to the UK to fulfil his childhood ambition of qualifying as a solicitor.

Sunil has worked in the Private Client field since 2011, specialising in Wills, Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship applications to the Court of Protection, all the while taking courses and qualifications to improve his skills and knowledge.

He is a full member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and also achieved a distinction in the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation.

Kerry is a barrister in our Woking office.

Kerry was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1999. She practised at 3 Stone Buildings (now Three Stone following a merger) until 2018 when she took a planned career break to spend time with her young family. During her time at the Bar, she specialised in private client work, both contentious and non-contentious. She has a wealth of experience advising on: trusts and estates; Wills, LPAs, probate and family provision (1975 Act claims); related inheritance taxation and professional negligence claims; Court of Protection and Elder Law; and co-ownership disputes.

An experienced litigator and advocate, Kerry also qualified as a mediator in 2008 and is keen to work with clients to find sensible, cost-effective solutions to problems as they arise. She is experienced at advising clients across the spectrum, including HNW and UHNW clients.

Kerry was a full member of STEP from 2005 to 2017 and will be reactivating her membership in due course. She was a committee member of the STEP Mental Capacity SIG from 2016-2017.

Belinda is a Senior Associate in our Godalming office.

Belinda has over 15 years’ experience in advising private clients, specialising in dealing with a wide variety of matters including wills and testamentary issues, estate planning and the administration of estates and all Court of Protection matters such as Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyships.

Lindsay attended the University of Plymouth 1996-2000 and achieved a BA (Hons) Business Studies degree.

Lindsay’s first career was with the Police Force where she worked as a Police Officer between 2002 - 2015. After beginning her service on uniformed patrol, she became an accredited Detective Sergeant who specialised in the safeguarding of children and adults. She worked in a multi-agency environment with Surrey County Council’s social care teams and the NHS to protect the public, particularly in the context of domestic abuse.

Lindsay laterally developed her second career through her natural curiosity for the law and subsequent employment as a Paralegal in 2016. She studied to become a Solicitor at the same time. She has undertaken a Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course (LPC) with Masters in Law, Business and Management (MSc).

Lindsay joined our Trusts & Estates team in 2025 and specialises in Private Client matters including the drafting of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration including Inheritance Tax. She has nine years’ experience to offer her clients, two of which are post qualification as a Solicitor.

Kayleigh joined Hart Brown in 2025 as a Chartered Legal Executive, having completed all three stages of the CILEX Professional Qualification to become a specialist Private Client lawyer.

Based in our Godalming office, Kayleigh has significant experience in the areas of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyship applications, Probate, Estate Administration and Inheritance Tax planning.

Kayleigh formally qualified in 2021 but her experience spans a much longer period, having worked in various Private Client roles since 2013.

Kayleigh’s role often takes her into the local community where she enjoys meeting with other related organisations offering services that can benefit her clients.

In her spare time, Kayleigh enjoys spending time with her family, friends and likes to travel as much as she can.
