Personal Injury

Personal Injury

If you are involved in a road traffic accident whether as a driver, a passenger, a motorcyclist, a cyclist or a pedestrian you need to instruct one of our specialist personal injury lawyers. Whatever the circumstances and whatever the size of the accident claim we will ensure that your claim is quickly and thoroughly investigated leaving no stone unturned to get you the compensation you deserve.

If you are insured do not let your insurers force you into using one of their panel firms who may be nowhere near you and only offer a “call centre” approach. In contrast we offer a friendly, highly specialised and highly personal service dealing with all aspects of your claim.

Claims for compensation for road traffic accidents can include claims for the following:

  • damages for the injuries you have suffered
  • the insurance excess
  • loss of no claims bonus
  • towing and recovery charges
  • the costs of repairs or, if the car was written off, its market value before the accident less its salvage value
  • vehicle storage charges
  • car hire charges
  • the cost of breakdown/roadside repairs
  • travelling expenses and telephone calls arranging for repairs to a damaged vehicle
  • damages for the loss of the use of your car while waiting for repairs or replacement

We have helped clients with a wide range of injuries from fractured bones which recover relatively quickly to the most serious of claims involving fatal accidents. If you are involved in an accident with an uninsured driver or a hit and run accident when the driver disappears we also deal with claims against the Motor Insurers’ Bureau.

To speak to a specialist personal injury lawyer who can help with a road traffic accident claim or any other type of personal injury claim contact us now by calling, emailing or request a callback.

Partner, Head of Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence

Gerard Sanders

Gerard qualified with a large regional firm in 1991. Since 1995 he has specialised exclusively on claimant personal injury work. More recently he has focused on complex higher value clinical negligence and personal injury claims.

His greatest success has been winning the high profile case of Delaney-v-The Secretary of State for Transport where after almost 9 years of litigation involving two Court of Appeal hearings and an application to the Supreme Court he was finally able to establish that the Motor Insurers’ Bureau Agreement was incompatible with EEC law. As a direct result of the decision in this case the agreement has had to be amended to the benefit of many future victims of uninsured drivers.

Gerard is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and he appears in the latest Legal 500 rankings in the fields of personal injury and clinical negligence.

Gerard’s other professional qualifications include a Diplome D’Etudes Juridiques Francaises from Strasbourg University.
