Susan Stainsby

Susan is a qualified CIPD HR professional and is responsible for the firm's HR and Facilities functions. She has a wealth of generalist HR and pensions experience gained in the Legal sector, charities and publishing.

Susan joined Hart Brown in 2014 and works closely with the senior management team, giving advice at both operational and strategic level.

    Current Vacancies

    1. Contentious Probate/Litigation Solicitor:

    We have an opportunity within our busy Dispute Resolution team for a litigation fee earner who will be able to demonstrate substantial experience in contentious probate matters. Responsibilities will include managing a busy contentious caseload covering:

    • Contesting the validity of Wills
    • Inheritance Act disputes
    • Trustee disputes
    • Estate disputes

    This is a great opportunity for a team player to be part of a growing ambitious Dispute Resolution team.

    ACTAPS membership is an advantage.  Excellent client care and interpersonal skills are essential as well as a keen commercial sense and an interest in business development.


    2. Marketing Executive Maternity Cover – Guildford:

    This role provides an opportunity to be involved in all elements of Marketing including digital marketing, PR, Creative and Digital for this Surrey based Law firm.

    This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to utilise and build on their current skill set and thrive in a busy marketing function.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Digital marketing via social media – ensuring and building on our presence across social media including use of social media scheduling tools
    • Liaising with our web developers, SEO teams and PPC teams on the maintenance and development of the website
    • Assisting with the production of marketing collateral and internal newsletters including copywriting and proof reading of marketing materials
    • Manage the creation and distribution of blogs
    • Assist with direct mail, email marketing and other external communications
    • Deal with client satisfaction surveys and mystery shopping results
    • Co-ordinate and help with the firm’s external events
    • Utilise excel to keep reports of invoices/costs and budget spend
    • Maintain and update various databases
    • Liaise with external agencies

    The successful candidate will have the following experience:

    • Previous digital marketing and web development experience
    • Experience of using InDesign (Adobe) and WordPress is essential
    • Creative design experience is useful
    • Knowledge of PPC, SEO, social media advertising and social media scheduling tools
    • Experience of using various social media platforms for business purposes
    • Knowledge of video marketing
    • Experience of using a CRM system
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong IT skills
    • Ability to work well under own initiative with good self- management
